Who are we?
The man behind the brand is Craig Duncan.
Craig began his cycling career at the age of three, riding for the Elizabeth Vale tricycle club.
Many years later, after removing his cardigan, Craig entered the official cycling industry as Advertising Manager with Bicycling Australia. In the four years with BA, Craig worked tirelessly in support of the independent bicycle dealer and became a favoured drinking buddy with many importers and wholesalers nationally.
Thereafter, Craig moved across to Sportz Australasia who were the importer for Norco Performance Bikes. He was the Sales Manager for operations in NSW and played a large part in the massive growth of the iconic Canadian brand during this time.
Whilst with Sportz, Craig noticed an itch that wasn't being scratched. Many, many dealers - Norco and beyond - were sitting on hundreds of bikes just slightly out of date, but none the less still on the floor. Many of these had huge markdowns applied, but the message wasn't getting out to a wide enough audience to help these specials move!
Feeling there had to be more that the industry could do to support the independent dealer, the concept of Cyclenet arrived, allowing dealers to highlight their superseded bike inventory at a greatly reduced price - DIRECTLY TO A HUNGRY AND WAITING MARKET.
What are we?
Welcome to Cyclenet.
Australia's ONLY body dedicated to solely promoting NEW bikes at USED bike prices to the Australian cycling public.
We have the ability to hook up with bike shops Australia-wide to help bring you the best deals on NEW bike gear. We don't promote secondhand junk, and we don't promote private sales.
Every product listed is sitting in a licensed independent bicycle dealers store. Whilst it may be last years model, it is NEW and comes with full warranty and support from the dealer and brand. That's peace of mind.
What is our focus?
We have two distinct objectives:
Firstly to get you, the rider, the absolute best deal on NEW cycling product - whether it be your newt bike or much needed parts or accessories.
Secondly, we are here to support the little guy. The independent bicycle dealer that has slaved in his store with all he has, because he has a passion for cycling. And a passion for service.
As mentioned, every product you see here is listed by an independent dealer and is ready for immediate sale. We put you directly in touch with the dealer via links in each listing and the rest is up to you. But that's the easy bit....BUY IT!
